NITTAKU SPONSORSHIP OF FLORIDA TABLE TENNIS CLUBS ANNOUNCED

Paddle Palace and Nittaku have agreed to be major sponsors of all Mid-Florida Table Tennis Tour Tournaments and all Florida Orange Blossom Series Tournaments held in Florida during the 2017 season. Both Paddle Palace and Nittaku will join in supplying all highest quality tournament balls to all the clubs in Florida, along with other table tennis supplies.

The ball being featured in all 2017 tournaments is the Nittaku 3-Star Premium 40+ White Ball, crafted in Japan and known as the best in the world. This ball is featured at the U.S. Open and also at the USATT Nationals. It is the preferred ball by the great majority of Table Tennis athletes.

In addition, The Florida Sports Foundation will also be involved by using these high quality balls at both the Sunshine State Games for Table Tennis and the 2017 Florida Senior Games State Championship in Table Tennis. Other Florida clubs, including Broward Table Tennis Club, will also be using Nittaku balls. A total of thirteen tournaments, including Clearwater, Orlando, Lakeland, and Jacksonville are already scheduled as part of the Mid-Florida Table Tennis Tour, Orange Blossom Series, and Florida Sports Foundation tournaments.

FLORIDA SENIOR GAMES STATE CHAMPIONSHIP-TABLE TENNIS

Brad Woodington, the State Director for the Florida Senior Games Table Tennis Championship, is excited to report that over 100 Senior Athletes have already entered the upcoming Senior Games State Championship in Table Tennis. Woodington is hoping for an all-time record number of participants in this great annual tournament. Events will include Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Age brackets will begin at age 50 and extend to the oldest participant's age. Currently, we have an athlete at the young age of 89 registered as our most seasoned participant.

The last tournament of the year in Lakeland, Florida will be held on Oct. 28-29, 2016. There is a lot at stake at this great tournament. The winners of some fantastic prizes for the Florida Orange Blossom Series will be decided. A Newgy Robot with a value of almost $900.00 is up for grabs, along with $400.00 in cash for the winners of the 2016 Florida Orange Blossom Series. In addition, almost $2000.00 in cash and trophies for the top 4 places in all events will be awarded at the final tournament of the year in Lakeland.

Brad Woodington, the President of Lakeland Table Tennis Association and the Tournament Director, hopes all players, spectators, and supporters of Table Tennis in Florida will be in attendance for the huge celebration planned at the tournament. The celebration will mark FIFTEEN continuous years of high-quality USATT sanctioned tournaments provided by the Lakeland Table Tennis Association. The first tournament was held in Lakeland on October 19, 2002. Woodington plans to recognize all players who were in attendance at the very first tournament who are also present for this tournament, fifteen years later. We already have a commitment for a growing number of participants.

HUGE CELEBRATION PLANNED FOR TOURNAMENT IN LAKELAND, FLORIDA!

Brad Woodington, the President and Tournament Director for Lakeland Table Tennis Association, has invited all Table Tennis players, fans and supporters to attend the upcoming Celebration and tournament in Lakeland, Florida on October 28-29, 2016. Woodington emphasized that this will be the last tournament of 2016 in Lakeland, Florida. It will also be the final tournament of the Florida Orange Blossom Table Tennis Series and will decide the winners of the great prizes at the end of the season. The prizes include over $400 in cash and a top of the line Newgy Robot, valued at close to $900.00. 

The Celebration centers around the FIFTEEN consecutive years of USATT sanctioned tournaments held in Lakeland, Florida and sponsored by the Lakeland Table Tennis Association. Woodington had a specially designed collector item Table Tennis Pin manufactured that will be presented to all registered players of this final tournament of 2016, which marks the 15 years of continuous tournaments. 

In addition to the special Table Tennis pin, a huge celebration decorated cake will be available at the tournament. This will be the final Florida Orange Blossom Series Tournament of 2016. The winner of the Newgy Robot and over $400 in cash will be determined by the results of this great tournament. 

This will also mark a great celebration for Lakeland Table Tennis as this is the FIFTEENTH year in a row of successful USATT sanctioned tournaments. Players at the tournament will be recognized who were in attendance at the first tournament on October 19, 2002. In addition, all players will receive a special commemorative pin highlighting the 15 years Celebration. A special Celebration Cake will also be provided for all players. We hope everyone will come and join in this great celebration in Lakeland, Florida. We appreciate all the great support over the last 15 years from the entire Table Tennis Community.

LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS TO CELEBRATE FIFTEEN YEARS

The Lakeland Table Tennis Association will be celebrating fifteen years of continuous USATT sanctioned tournaments at their October 28-29, 2016 tournament. The very first sanctioned tournament was held on October 19. 2002. Brad Woodington, the President and Tournament Director of the Lakeland Table Tennis Association has plans for an awesome celebration. The celebration will include a great collector's item with a special commemorative pin to be provided for all registered players at this final tournament of the 2016 season at Lakeland. In addition, Woodington announced a special Fifteenth Anniversary Cake will be provided for all players. All players in attendance who were at the original tournament fifteen years ago will also be recognized during the celebration. 
More details about the special tournament will be announced as the plans are completed.

LAKELAND HAS OUTSTANDING MID-FLORIDA TOUR TOURNAMENT

Brad Woodington, Tournament Director for Lakeland Table Tennis in Lakeland, Florida, was thoroughly pleased with the huge turnout and quality of play at the September 16-17, 2016 Mid-Florida Table Tennis Tour September Classic. There was a total of 106 entrants in the four Table Tennis events during the spectacular two-day tournament. With only one tournament left for this season in Lakeland, Woodington is looking forward to the special October 28-29, 2016 tournament.

The Florida Orange Blossom Table Tennis Series Tournament, scheduled for Oct. 28-29, 2016, will mark 15 YEARS of continuous high quality Table Tennis tournaments held in Lakeland, Florida. Woodington is planning a huge celebration for all the players at the October tournament. Players who were at the very first Lakeland tournament and are at the 2016 tournament will be honored. Details of the special celebration will be announced when they are complete.

More great Table Tennis news! A brand new Florida Senior Games Local Qualifier has been added to the almost 20 locations in Florida. The new qualifier is titled: South Florida Senior Games. Table Tennis will be one of their premier offerings. Everyone in South Florida is excited about the new qualifier in their area. Table Tennis players who are age 50 and above may enter the events and qualify for the Florida Senior Games State Championship in Table Tennis which will be held in Clearwater, Florida in December of 2016. It is NOT too late to qualify as there are several locations where local senior games will still be held this year. You must be at least 50 years old in order to enter. We hope to have close to 200 participants in the State Table Tennis Championship in December.

GREAT TOURNAMENT EXPECTED
Brad Woodington, Tournament Director for Lakeland Table Tennis Association, is excited about the upcoming USATT sanctioned tournament in beautiful Lakeland, Florida. He is hopeful that the maximum of 88 players will be in attendance for this popular August event.

FRIDAY NIGHT EVENTS
Super Big Ball, Sandpaper and Doubles events will all be available on Friday night, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Player may enter all three events. The cost for Super Big Ball  and Sandpaper is only $3.00 and Doubles is only $8.00 per team member. Trophies will be presented to the top 4 winners in all classes and a special $50.00 cash prize will be awarded to the Super Big Ball champion. Come out and have some great fun on Friday night, or practice for the great Saturday event.

SATURDAY COLOSSAL ROUND ROBIN EVENT
The extremely popular Colossal Round Robin Singles Event is scheduled for Saturday, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The gymnasium opens at 8:00 a.m. for sign-in and warm-up. A maximum of only 88 players may enter this event with competition of 19 Premium Butterfly Tournament Tables.
NOTE: ONLY 88 PLAYERS MAY ENTER THIS EVENT. 

PRIZES AND AWARDS
A total of $1740.00 will be available for players during the great two day tournament. Trophies will also be provided for the top 4 winners in every event and every class of competition. In addition, lunch will be provided for players on Saturday. Pizza, soft drinks and bottled water will be available, and Big Brad (Brad Woodington) invites you to please come by the Control Table for his famous cookies during the afternoon session.
