There were 134 participants, which was an all-time record for a non-qualifying year for the National Senior Games.

2016 Tournament Schedule Begins For Mid-Florida Tour

FIRST MID-FLORIDA TOUR TOURNAMENT IS SCHEDULED FOR 2016!!!

Keith Hanley, the Tournament Director for the Sunrise Table Tennis Club, has announced the first tournament for the 2016 Mid-Florida Table Tennis Tour has been scheduled. This high quality two-star USATT tournament will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the fabulous Long Center in beautiful Clearwater, Florida. 

The Clearwater Winter Open will offer over $1400.00 in prize money and trophies for the ten events held during the day long tournament. This will be a Rated Event with the following events:

OPEN SINGLES
UNDER 2100 SINGLES
UNDER 1950 SINGLES
UNDER 1800 SINGLES
UNDER 1650 SINGLES
UNDER 1500 SINGLES
UNDER 1350 SINGLES
UNDER 1200 SINGLES

The Mid-Florida Table Tennis Tour provides a growing number of high quality USATT sanctioned tournaments during each season in various parts of Florida. Today is your LAST CHANCE to register for the fantastic Florida Senior Games State Championship in Table Tennis. The Deadline has been extended to MIDNIGHT tonight (11-22-15).
There are already 133 players officially registered, which is an all-time record for Table Tennis on a non-National Senior Games qualifying year. The all-time record for any year is 145, so we are very close to that record, even though this is not a qualifying year for the National Senior Games.

If you are Age 50 or above on December 31, 2015, you are eligible to enter any of the Florida Senior Games! In Table Tennis, there is a great Local Senior Game left in Sanford, Florida. You can still enter this great Senior Event for Table Tennis and qualify for the Florida Senior Games State Championship that will be held in December of this year.

OCTOBER 2015 LAKELAND TOURNAMENT-HUGE TURNOUT!!!

Tournament officials were excited with the fabulous number of players who registered for the Florida Orange Blossom Series Fall Classic Table Tennis Tournament. The tournament was held in Lakeland, Florida on October 23-24, 2015. A total of 116 players entered the four great events at the tournament. This was the last sanctioned tournament at Lakeland for the 2015 season and everyone at Lakeland Table Tennis wants to sincerely thank all the players who attended for the great support during this season.

FINAL TOURNAMENT FOR LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS IN 2015

Brad Woodington, President of the Lakeland Table Tennis Association, is expecting a full-house at the last USATT sanctioned tournament in Lakeland, Florida for 2015. Woodington emphasized this projection due to the next tournament will not be until February of 2016. Players are already registering for this popular event which is scheduled for October 23-24, 2015 at the Simpson Park Community Center in Lakeland.

The success of the seven USATT sanctioned tournaments in Lakeland during 2015 has been due to the great support from the players all over Florida and beyond.

LAKELAND SCHEDULES 7 USATT TOURNAMENTS FOR 2016

The Lakeland Table Tennis Association has announced that seven USATT sanctioned tournaments have already been sanctioned and approved for the 2016 season. All these great tournaments will also feature USSTTA sanctioned Sandpaper Events and SBBTTA sanctioned Big Ball Events and the great Doubles Events on Friday night. FLORIDA MASTERS TOURNAMENT UNDER CONSIDERATION FOR 2016

The Administrative Planning and Research Committee for the Lakeland Table Tennis Association is currently considering a specially designed table tennis tournament for a broad spectrum of Senior Players in Florida for 2016.  The committee is considering a combined USATT sanctioned tournament and a Non-sanctioned tournament to be held simultaneously on a two-day schedule. The dual event is being considered for players in all age ranges, beginning at 30-39, 40-49 and then 50-54 and all other age groups up to 90-94 and beyond, Players can choose to enter the USATT sanctioned event or the Non-sanctioned event in all the various age groups for which they qualify.  Senior advocates for Table Tennis in Florida have urged consideration for a special Senior tournament and this possible tournament is a direct response to the numerous requests for such a tournament. The committee will continue to meet and study the proposal during the next few months. A formal announcement will be made at a later date as plans are finalized. We appreciate the interest being shown by our great Seniors in the Sunshine State.

LAST LAKELAND TOURNAMENT FOR 2015 ANNOUNCED

Brad Woodington has announced that the last tournament to be held in Lakeland, Florida for the 2015 season is now scheduled and is open for registration. Woodington stated that the next tournament in Lakeland, after this October event, will not be until February of 2016, so he is hopeful that a full compliment of players will be at this popular October event. 

The USATT sanctioned Florida Orange Blossom Series Finale will be held on October 23-24, 2015 at the Simpson Park Community Center in Lakeland, Florida. The Friday night events will all begin at 6:00 p.m. and include Super Big Ball Singles, USSATT Sandpaper Singles and Doubles events. Players may enter all three events if desired. A special $50 cash prize will be provided for the winner of the Super Big Ball Singles Event, which is a sanctioned SBBTTA event. All three events will be completed on Friday night. Trophies will be provided for the top four places in each event.

The Colossal Round Robin Singles Event will begin on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. and will feature a complimentary lunch for all players at Noon. Woodington is hopeful that the maximum number of players (121) will register for this last event of the year.

A total of $2000.00 will be available in all the various events during the special two-day tournament. In addition, the final Series Points Standings will be determined with this last series tournament of the year. You can check who is currently leading in the Series Points by clicking SERIES POINTS
