LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS ANNOUNCES 2019 USATT TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Brad Woodington, the President of Lakeland Table Tennis Association and Tournament Director is excited about the robust USATT Tournament Schedule coming to Lakeland, Florida in 2019. This year marks the 17th consecutive year for high quality USATT sanctioned tournaments in beautiful Lakeland, Florida.

Woodington expects another highly successful year with seven USATT tournaments already approved and fully sanctioned. Woodington commented, "The Lakeland tournaments have a great reputation for consistent high quality tournaments available for our great players all over Florida and other states and countries. We have new players arriving at each tournament and many return visits from our loyal group of repeat competitors." 

A total of $2,025.00 in cash will be available for the first great tournament in Lakeland on February 22-23, 2019. In addition, trophies will be awarded to the top 4 places in each of the 14 events. A complimentary lunch with pizza, soft drinks and bottled water will be provided during the lunch break. 

The tournament begins on Friday night, February 22, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. with three exciting events. The United States Sandpaper Table Tennis Association has sanctioned a USSTTA Sandpaper Tournament. In addition, the Super Big Ball Table Tennis Association has also scheduled a sanctioned Super Big Ball Tournament using 44 mm Three Star Premium balls with the net height increased to meet the sanction requirements. Also on Friday night, a highly popular Doubles Tournament will be held. Cash prizes and trophies are available in all events. Players may enter one, two or all three events on Friday night. 

Saturday, February 23, 2019 is reserved for our spectacular COLOSSAL ROUND ROBIN event. There is a maximum of 110 players allowed to enter this fabulous event. This event begins at 9:00 a.m. with 24 high quality Butterfly Tournament Tables available throughout the day. Lunch will be provided at 12:00 Noon. 

Tournament results are submitted electronically to the USATT within ten minutes of the completion of the tournament. The USATT normally posts the results on the very next business day. In addition, every match and game, with complete scores, is posted on the Lakeland Table Tennis Website on Saturday night, after the tournament.
