Lakeland Table Tennis To Renew USATT Sunday League

LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS TO OFFER USATT LEAGUE EACH SUNDAY

Brad Woodington, the President of Lakeland Table Tennis Association, has announced that the Lakeland Table Tennis Singles League will begin on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Woodington noted that several years ago, Lakeland Table Tennis had one of the largest USATT Leagues, which was very popular with players from all over Central Florida.

Renewed interests by many players and requests for the re-start of the Lakeland League has been heard. Woodington is excited about the possibilities of again becoming one of the largest USATT sponsored Singles League.

There is NO additional cost to join the Lakeland Table Tennis League, and you do NOT have to be a paying member of the USATT to join the league. All players from all ages and skills are welcome.

HOW DO I JOIN THE LAKELAND TABLE TENNIS LEAGUE?

It is really simple! Just show up and sign the League Sign-In Sheet with your name and other information. Then, you just play as many matches as you wish with the other players who are on the list. You can play just one match or try to play everyone else that signs up! Remember, this is voluntary, but there is NO extra charge to join in the fun!

DO I GET A USATT RATING FOR THE LEAGUE?

Yes! After all the matches are played on Sunday, the results are submitted electronically to the USATT. A new League Rating is then generated for each player that competes. The new rating will be visible on each player's Profile Page on the USATT website. You can watch your League Rating climb as you continue to practice and improve each Sunday.

HOW ARE THE SCORES REPORTED DURING THE LEAGUE?

There is a scoresheet available. Whenever you finish a match, simply enter the name of the two players, the scores and circle the name of the winner. Do this with each match that is played. The scoresheet is then submitted electronically to the USATT League as soon as the League session is completed, The USATT then updates your new League Rating automatically. You do not have to wait several days. It is almost instantly updated!

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE IN THE USATT LEAGUE?

Most players enjoy the competition with friends where the score is kept and reported. It allows players to view the progress they are making. It is also a great help in preparing players for upcoming USATT tournaments. Also, the USATT is providing this at no extra charge to help promote our great sport. Players have had very positive comments about their participation. So come on out to Lakeland Table Tennis and have some great competition and fun!
