SPECTACULAR TWO DAY TOURNAMENT-4 EXCITING EVENTS
Brad Woodington, Tournament Director of Lakeland Table Tennis Association is excited to announce the first Mid-Florida Table Tennis Tournament for 2016 held in Lakeland, Florida. Tour tournaments have already been held in Clearwater and Orlando, but this is the first one in Lakeland for 2016. The tournament will be held on July 15-16, 2016 at the Simpson Park Community Center in Lakeland, Florida. 

SBBTTA SANCTIONED EVENT-FRIDAY NIGHT JULY 15TH-6:00 p.m.
The exciting Super Big Ball Event (44mm Ball) will be held on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. This exciting event features the huge 44mm Nittaku Ball and a net that has been raised by 2.0 cm to a total height of 17.25 cm. In addition, players must use a specialized paddle with short pips on both sides with sponge underneath each identical sheet (paddles provided at tournament). Each game is to 11 points and a match is the best two out of three. The relatively new SBBTTA now has almost 50 members, with players from 7 states and two countries. The top four players will be awarded trophies and the ultimate winner will receive $50 in prize money. USSTTA FLORIDA JULY SANDPAPER CHAMPIONSHIP JULY 15TH-6:00 p.m.
If you are tired of trick rubbers with excessive spin or reverse spin and short rallies that often result in boring no return serves, give Sandpaper a shot. The USSTTA sanctioned Sandpaper Event features the use of paddles with sandpaper on both sides. This eliminates the sticky spins and loops that shorten the rallies to an average of 3.8 passes over the net for each point. Yes, Sandpaper relies on more skill from the player rather than expensive trick rubbers. Each game is to 21 points and each match is the best 2 out of 3. Sandpaper paddles are provided at the tournament. Trophies are presented to the top 4 players. Enter for only $3 and have some great fun. FLORIDA CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLES JULY 15TH-6:00 p.m.
Get yourself a partner and double the fun as you have a chance to try the Florida Championship Doubles Event on Friday night. The entry fee is only $8 and trophies are awarded to the top 4 players in this awesome tournament event. If you do not have a partner, you can usually find one at the tournament site on Friday night. 

COLOSSAL ROUND ROBIN USATT EVENT JULY 16TH-9:00 a.m.
Yes, this is it! The huge Colossal Round Robin Singles Event that can accommodate a maximum of 121 players in 11 exciting classes. A total of $2,000.00 in cash is up for grabs at the tournament along with trophies for the top 4 places in each of the 11 classes. Also, players earn Tour Points that accumulate during the season with some exciting prizes to be awarded at the end of the Tour. A $900.00 value Newgy Robot is one of the prizes to be awarded.
