LAKELAND SETS RECORD WITH HUGE ATTENDANCE AT FEB. TOURNAMENT!

Brad Woodington, Tournament Director for Lakeland Table Tennis Association, was pleased to announce that the all-time tournament participation record was set at the recent February tournament in Lakeland, Florida. A total of 141 entrants was recorded for the fabulous two-day event. Sanctioned events were held for the USSTTA (United States Sandpaper Table Tennis Association), SBBTA (Super Big Ball Table Tennis Association), and the USATT. Twenty-four tables were needed to complete the large two-day tournament, which saw players arrive from seven states and from two foreign countries.

Woodington emphasized that Lakeland now has seven high quality sanctioned Table Tennis tournaments held each year and more and more players are taking advantage of this growing sport in Florida. The tournament was LIVE STREAMED on YouTube with many observers online around the world. In addition, a real-time monitor is available at the tournament site that updates all the current matches and scores as they are reported. Players can check the monitor all during the tournament to see what place they are in and what their tournament record is at that exact moment.

LAST CHANCE TO ENTER LAKELAND WINTER OPEN!!!

HUGE TURNOUT-FILLING UP FAST!!!

Brad Woodington, the Tournament Director for the Florida Orange Blossom Series Winter Open 2016, has announced that the tournament already has 106 entrants in the wildly popular two day tournament scheduled for February 19-20, 2016 in Lakeland, Florida. There are still openings in all the events being offered, but sign up as soon as possible to be sure you have a slot. Only 121 players can register for the Colossal Round Robin Event on Saturday. Openings are available on Friday night for Super Big Ball Singles, USSTTA Sandpaper Singles, and Winter Championship Doubles. Players may enter all three events on Friday night and also the Colossal Round Robin Event on Saturday. You do not need to enter both days. 

Woodington is pleased that so many new players have entered the tournament from many states all over the USA and Canada. A total of $2000.00 in cash will be available and beautiful trophies for the top four places in all events. 

This is also the first of FOUR great Orange Blossom Series Tournaments in Lakeland this year. Players earn Series Points at each tournament. Prizes are awarded at the end of the season for the players with the most accumulated Series Points during the season. The secret to winning is to be sure that you enter each tournament in the Series. 

There will be an Awards Presentation at this weekend tournament for the winners of the 2015 season for both the Florida Orange Blossom Series and The Mid-Florida Tour. The presentations will be made during the lunchtime on Saturday.

Registration is now open for the wildly popular Florida Orange Blossom Series Winter Open 2016. This great tournament will be held on February 19-20, 2016 in beautiful Lakeland, Florida USA. It is a fully sanctioned USATT, USSTTA and SBBTTA tournament with official ratings being sent to all three national ratings websites.

Players from all over Florida and beyond are expected to enter this two-day table tennis festival. A total of  $2,000.00 in cash awards and trophies for the top 4 places in each event is being offered. A complimentary lunch of pizza, soft drinks and bottled water will be provided for lunch. And don't forget about the cookies during the Saturday afternoon session for the much needed energy boost!

It is extremely easy to register. We welcome ALL players, regardless of your rating or skill level. We love to see new players who have never participated in a tournament. 

Remember, this is the FIRST of 4 great SERIES tournaments in Lakeland, All players are awarded SERIES POINTS at each tournament, dependent upon what place they finish in their event.
